Shawmut is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join our Business Finance team. This role will partner with our Business Finance team and other departments to assist in the management of financial reporting, budgeting and analysis for our Hospitality Division. This is the ideal opportunity for someone looking to join a growing organization and further develop their skill set.


Job Functions:


  • Support strategic financial management of Hospitality Business line
    • Develop and maintain all business line budgets
    • Develops and maintains S,G & A budget.
    • Analyzes costs, and allocations
    • Reforecast annual results on a quarterly basis
    • Participate in strategic long term planning and analysis
    • Generate reports and analyze data needed by management.


  • Project Reporting and Analysis
    • Risk assessment/compliance
    • Review monthly work in process (WIP) schedule for accuracy and potential risks/opportunities
    • Monitors costs, billings and cash flow
    • Ad hoc reporting
    • Rollup project level revenue projections to business line forecasting model
    • Perform account analysis and reconciliations during the month end close process
    • Partner with Corporate finance to identify and implement enhancements to reporting and analysis
    • Assist with year-end detailed analysis and preparation of work papers for the year end corporate audit


  • Intelligent, diligent individual with a strong background in finance and accounting
  • Must have incredible attention to detail, strong analytical and organization skills
  • Effective communication skills that will inspire a professional and collaborative approach
  • Have the ability to work independently and feel comfortable juggling various tasks with multiple deadlines, in a fast-paced environment
  • Must possess a proactive work ethic, and be a self-starter who has the ability to seek out needed information and collaborate effectively
  • Strong analytical and organization skills with the ability to understand the demands of managing a growing business
  • B.A. in accounting or a related field required
  • Must have 5+ years experience.
  • Experience in construction, engineering, real estate or similar industries preferred
  • Strong excel skills a must
