    Responsibilities

    The Tax & Licensing Specialist is a key individual contributor and will be essential part of a team supporting the processing of Sales & Use Tax / Business Tax Compliance in multi- jurisdictional reporting as well as Business Registration and Contractor Licensing. The function is responsible for ensuring adherence to all jurisdictional Sale & Use taxes/ Business Taxes, as well as research on, and the opening and or renewing of, business licenses and contractor licensing by jurisdiction as required. The role will also be accountable for documentation of departmental operational procedures as needed.

     

    Primary Responsibilities:

    Preparation of Sales & Use Tax Returns and Business Tax Returns in different States / Jurisdictions within US and Canada.
    Perform General Ledger account reconciliations for various tax accounts.
    Assist with Sales and Use Tax Audits.
    Responsible for opening and or renewing Business Licenses and/or Contractor Licensing per jurisdiction as required.
    Maintenance of the company’s data base for Business Licenses and/or Contractor Licensing.
    Update and/or create operational process documentation as needed.
    Understand and document business requirements

    Qualifications

    Bachelor’s degree required

     

    Skills and knowledge:

    Experience in Taxation/Business Taxation/ Business License Registration

    1 -3 years of Sales and Use Tax experience

    Accruals, GL processing, and year-end business processes.

    Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
