    We are looking for an experienced Construction Safety Manager to work Full time and to maintain a safe and secure worksite for the Starlite field staff.


    Starlite is a proven leader in creating accident free work zones, and this person will continue Starlite's success in creating a safe construction environment by working as part of the larger safety team, drawing on past experience and always looking for new, improved safety methods.



    • Set expectations and provide structure around site safety with superintendent, foreperson and subcontractors
    • Identify strengths and weaknesses of lead people, and tradespeople around knowledge, create site specific programs when necessary and train accordingly
    • Ensure the safety, training and development of Shawmut staff and subcontractors to understand identify and reduce risks in a fast paced construction environment from pre-construction through close-out
    • Raise awareness of potential hazards that exist on a jobsite with foreperson and Superintendent by reviewing what can be done to minimize risk
    • Conduct regular safety audits throughout the duration of a project assessing all safety related issues and follow up with the project team
    • Communicate directly with subcontractors to discuss concerns and Starlite's expectations
    • Identify poor performing staff and subs by reviewing past performance and work with Starlite leadership and Shawmut Safety Director to establish a plan to improve
    • Maintain the information technology and systems that are essential to capture and analyze key data, present reporting and communicate effectively
    • Develop and maintaining strong relationships with every member of the project team, subcontractors and clients
    • Conduct new hire safety orientations for incoming construction operations staff, subcontractors, etc.
    • Train Starlite's staff and subcontractors on topics such as OSHA certification (10 & 30 hour), First Aid, construction specific requirements and new standards review
    • Uphold Starlites Values and 16 Best Practices


    • 5-7 years experience in construction safety management
    • Extensive knowledge of OSHA construction standards
    • Bachelors Degree in Safety or related experience preferred
    • OSHA 500 trainer
    • Capable of delivering all other compliance based training including First Aid, CPR and Life Safety
    • Work requires frequent travel
    • Must reside in New England region
