    Responsibilities

    The purpose of the Expense Specialist is to manage the Concur Expense program by reviewing and processing expense reports, ensuring accuracy, completeness, supporting documentation and they are compliant with internal and external controls.

     

    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS*

     

    Expense Administration

    • Provide customer service to clients who are using Concur to process expense reports.
    • Manage the Concur expense report process; gather and reconcile expense reports on a monthly basis, verify receipts are in compliance with policies, upload reports into accounting system.
    • Conduct monthly audits; communicate findings to staff and management.  Make recommendations on continuous non-compliance issues.
    • Manage Concur system and communicate with Concur on all system issues.
    • Continue to find better ways to utilize the expense management system, partner with staff to review pain points and research ways to improve the system.  

     

    Back up to Travel and Expense Specialist

    • Provide customer service to clients using the credit card system including resetting passwords, increasing limits and changing restrictions.
    • Work with credit card vendor to ensure cards are ordered, cancelled and managed accurately.
    • Provide customer service to clients booking travel, assist Travel and Expense Specialist with rate negotiations and contract management.

     

    OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

     

    Other related duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    • Experience:
      • 1-3 years customer service experience
      • Construction experience helpful
    • Education: Bachelors in related field is preferred
    • Additional Role Specific Skills:
      • Concur system experience helpful
      • Solid knowledge of Excel, Word and Outlook
      • Requires strong problem resolution and customer service skills
      • Demonstrated ability to assess processes and make recommendations for improved efficiency
