Responsibilities

The PST Coordinator is a member of a centralized coordination team within the People Strategies Team. This role collaborates with other internal functions to provide compliant and flawless administrative support in all aspects of the employee life cycle. You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of new and ongoing projects and activities supporting employees across the company.  This role collaborates with managers and People Strategy team members in the following areas:

  • Talent Acquisition - collaborates with the recruiting team to enter all new hire information.
  • Onboarding /offboarding - coordinates onboarding process, processes new hire paperwork and I9s, ensures all required exit paperwork is complete and entered in our systems.
  • Employee relations and Compliance – respond to unemployment claims and employment verification requests, interpret Shawmut policies in response to employee inquiries.
  • Employee record maintenance – maintain confidential employee records, assist with reporting.
  • Performance Management and Training Programs – assist in planning, tracking and coordinating training and performance management activities.
  • Develop a deep understanding of Shawmut’s culture, our people processes and state/federal regulations.

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of human resources administration experience a must, includes any co-op or internships in human resources.
  • BS/BA degree required
  • Ability to multi-task and remain focused in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to exhibit a high degree of confidentiality, judgement and professionalism
  • Strong communication skills with ability to interface across all levels
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel is expected
  • Energetic, can-do attitude; ability to work both independently and within teams
  • Attention to detail / strong organizational skills
