Responsibilities

We are currently seeking an Operations Manager, whose primary responsibility is to provide support to the Vice President of Operations and the future Director of Operations to ensure successful completion of field operations for awarded projects.  Responsibilities include: 

 

Hospitality Operations Management

 

  • Assist the VP of Operations with coordinating and tracking field staff assignments, travel arrangements, time-off requests, maintaining records and correspondence.
  • Anticipate the needs and prepare the VP of Operations for appointments and meetings with external clients and staff.
  • Maintain field operations calendars including field staff travel, VP of Operations personal calendars.
  • Coordinate maintenance and reservation schedules for First Finish vehicles (2 pickup trucks)
  • Track and manage all business/contractor licenses and training/testing required to maintain active status.
  • Manage and update the Operations SharePoint to include all pertinent information including but not limited to all listed responsibilities.
  • Responsible for the management of the First Finish in-house materials/supplies.
  • Logistics management for project set-up.
  • Assist with coordinating and implementing field staff training (Forklift, OSHA, CPR, etc.
  • Research and coordinate housing for First Finish staff and subcontractors.
  • Maintain and update the Training Center in Procore.
  • Coordinate with Human Resources to assist with on-boarding and Orientation process for field staff hires.
  • Order all First Finish clothing to include: T-shirts, high visibility T-shirts, hard hats, safety clothing, etc.
  • Manage auto transportation for field staff and/or the use of transportation booking sites such as UBER, Budget, all airlines, etc.
  • Manage Home Depot accounts and track usage by the field staff.
  • Manage expense tracking and reporting for operations department to include American Express or any other credit usage.
  • Tracking and reporting on all T&M expenses associated with travel, lodging and meals, etc.
  • Serve as a back-up to certain key staff members as needed

Communication

 

  • Communicate with field staff regarding travel, housing and project assignments
  • Answer and route telephone calls and convey information to the team as necessary
  • Assist with scheduling training bi-weekly, record and save in the Training Center within Procore
  • Coordinates and confirms conference room reservations as needed

Qualifications

  • 3-5+ years of experience in construction or a related field in a fast pace organization
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proactive and highly organized to multitask, prioritize and meed deadlines and schedules.
  • Solid critical thinking-skills and ability to work independently
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Teams) and Procore

Columbia MD Base Salary Range: $65,000 – $75,000 The range stated is specific to Columbia, MD.  Placement within the listed range depends on many factors including, but not limited to years of experience, project size capability (for Construction & Field roles) and internal company equity.
