The purpose of this role is to contribute to Shawmut Design and Construction’s culture and business strategy through management of its Talent Programs.  This role is responsible for enabling high performance and career growth through the design, development, and implementation of our early-in-career talent programs. Talent programs such as Sponsorship and Mentoring, and experiences with a lens of the Inclusion and Belonging initiative. Incorporates Inclusion and Belonging perspective information and learning and development practices and trends, this role manages the successful execution of Shawmut’s Talent programs across the country.

Responsibilities

Training (CMST) program. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

 

Program Development & Execution

  • Partner with Talent Development to support the development and implementation of CMST program goals and strategies.
  • Help design and continuously improve program best practices to ensure consistency across the business.
  • Collaborate with Operations to identify technical skill gaps and recommend targeted training solutions.
  • Work with subject matter experts to develop and coordinate technical training programs.

Onboarding & Experience

  • Support onboarding and assimilation of CMST participants to ensure a strong and engaging early experience.
  • Collaborate and coordinate annual job rotations and special projects with stakeholders
  • Schedule and manage monthly roundtable training sessions to promote continued growth and learning.

Leadership & Governance

  • Manage national and regional CMST Steering Committees, including scheduling, agenda development, facilitation, and driving program enhancements.
  • Ensure CMST managers understand their role and responsibilities in developing early-career talent.
  • Oversee the CMST graduation process, including event planning and coordination of capstone presentations.

Strategic Talent Development Initiatives

  • Serve as a key partner in the implementation of psychometric tools (e.g., Predictive Index), delivering insights and workshops to enhance team effectiveness.
  • Lead university partnership programs, including MBA and continuing education initiatives, to build talent pipelines and support employee development.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally on special projects that advance the broader Talent Development strategy and organizational capability.

Inclusion & Belonging (I&B)

All program initiatives will be delivered through an Inclusion & Belonging lens. This role will:

  • Lead the development, alignment, and execution of enterprise-wide Inclusion & Belonging strategies using data-driven insights and best practices.
  • Design and deliver learning, awareness, and engagement programs; develop toolkits; and partner with the Diversity Leadership Council and Communications to drive consistent I&B adoption.
  • Build strong relationships across the business, communicate progress through clear reporting and storytelling, and embed I&B as a core organizational priority.

 

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in program planning, project management, training coordination, or event planning.
  • Demonstrated interest or experience supporting Inclusion & Belonging initiatives.
  • Experience engaging with early-career talent or development programs preferred.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and manage multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment.

Salary Range Information

Boston Base Salary Range: $90,000 – $100,000 The range stated is specific to New England Placement. The range listed depends on many factors, including, but not limited to, years of experience, project size capability (for Construction & Field roles), and internal company equity.
