*Please note: this position works out of our Boston office 3x per week, with the option to work from home 2x per week.

Responsibilities

The Manager, HR Business Partner provides advanced level HR services to the Mission Critical/Data Center construction team. These services are in support of and for the purpose of driving the goals of the business to implement corporate HR initiatives and to ensure that company and legal policies and procedures are followed.

 

  • Participates in developing PST department goals, objectives, and systems.
  • Assists in the development of the annual regional hiring plan.
  • Partners with the talent acquisition team to help identify business line hiring needs.
  • Ensures that the job description or hiring profile accurately reflects that actual hiring need and job requirements.
  • Oversees and/or develops onboarding plans for all new hires. Oversees and/or conducts high level components of the new hire orientation.
  • Assists in the development and drives the implementation of personnel policies and procedures and ensure compliance through tools, systems and influencing skills.
  • Develops and makes presentations to HR and senior management to gain buy in for new initiatives.
  • Meets with employees and management to communicate and reinforce various Human Resources policies, procedures and laws to ensure a compliant, fair, safe and efficient work environment.
  • Handles complex employee relations issues.
  • Conducts exit interviews and analyzes data.
  • Develops recommendations for corrective action and continuous improvement. Presents strong business case/written presentation to HR management for buy in. Drives implementation.
  • Participates in the development and implementation of improvements in the performance management system.
  • Assists in the administration of compensation programs. Partners with compensation team to ensure accurate annual updates to compensation program are recorded. 
  • With the talent development and operations team, participates in the development of the annual training plan for the various businesses/functions. Oversees the development and implementation and develops and delivers various programs as needed.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 8-10 years of comparable HR experience.
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree required. PHR and/ or SHRM- CP preferred.
  • Additional Role Specific Skills:
    • Strong understanding of advanced HR and OD concepts. Experience handling complex remote employee relations issues.
    • Construction industry experience, specifically in the mission critical sector, is strongly preferred. 
    • Thorough knowledge of senior leadership and region legal trends/risk.
    • Outstanding relationship-building skills.
    • Ability to create a culture of inclusion and belonging by acting with courage, humility and curiosity; desire to learn about others and self-reflect.
    • Ability to build team relationships, stay organized, handle various projects at one time, follow up and make accurate decisions.

Salary Range Information

Boston Base Salary Range: $110,000 - $145,000 The range stated is specific to Boston.  Placement within the listed range depends on many factors including, but not limited to years of experience, project size capability (for Construction & Field roles) and internal company equity.
